On the 14th of January, we took to the streets to fight for the rights of migrant mothers whose children had been taken away by DGAIA1 and Catalonia’s social services, which operate under racist, xenophobic, classist and misogynistic laws. At the town hall, we were greeted with the following racist attacks: “Speak Catalan!”, “Catalonia is for the Catalans”, “Go back home”, shouted by a parallel demonstration supposedly organized for Catalonian Independence.
